I Choose Today to Bring Change
Have you seen the news lately? Driven down a freeway or walked through a crowded store? It feels like everywhere we turn, there’s angst, anger, and brokenness. Sometimes it’s overwhelming, the darkness of this world can weigh heavy. David reminds us of this truth: “There is no one who does good, no, not even one.” — Psalm 53:3a AMP And maybe you’ve wondered, Why doesn’t God just come back already? Why does He wait while so much evil, pain, and suffering continue? Scripture answers that too: “The Lord isn’t really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” — 2 Peter 3:9 God’s extraordinary patience is a reflection of His extraordinary love. He waits so that more can come—your family member, your neighbor, even your enemy. Jesus came so that everyone could experience God’s love firsthand. That means me. That means you.
