The world shows no mercy.
It is a hard, unrelenting force—loud, demanding, self-centered. It keeps score, holds grudges, and prides itself on being right. It boasts in success and compares endlessly, always asking, “How do I measure up?”
But Jesus showed us something different.
“No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).
And that’s exactly what He did. While we were still sinning, He died for us. He stood in the gap between us and God, bearing the weight of every sin—not because we earned it, but because love compelled Him.
His love didn’t end at the cross. It continues today—patient, gentle, never forcing.
He waits for us to choose Him… even though He already chose us.
He never gives up on us.
Our failures don’t stop His faithfulness.
He is our hope—the very source of it.
He wipes the slate clean.
His mercy makes space for us to begin again.
He is Love.
When Scripture describes love in 1 Corinthians 13, it’s not just a list of ideals—it’s a picture of Jesus Himself. Every attribute of love written there is found in Him.
He is patient. He is kind. He keeps no record of wrongs. He never gives up.
He is love in its truest form.
Jesus laid down His life for us even when we were insufferable, judgmental, hateful, indifferent, selfish. And when we truly receive that kind of love—when we lean into it—it begins to transform us.
We learn to love not only Him, but others as well.
So as we celebrate the love demonstrated on Easter—love that conquers death and covers sin – let us also choose to love in response.
Let us be patient.
Kind.
Humble.
Let’s not keep score. Let’s rejoice in the truth. Let’s believe the best in others.
And let’s show the world that true love—the kind Jesus lived and died for—never fails.
Never gives up.
Love does, because Love is.

Love is indeed our faith foundation! Your ability to connect the loving attributes of our God to the choices of love we can make, not only on this Easter, but every day, is an encouraging inspiration! Thank you!
Love is the foundation for which God does what He does, so it stands to reason we do the same. Amen?

I am so thankful for God’s love. He is just always there, waiting for us to run into His love. He never changes, He never stops loving. He is always faithful.
