I Choose Today...

I Choose Today to Keep God Center

In the vastness of the universe, there is an order and purpose that holds everything together—a design that keeps planets in orbit and stars in place. Imagine if everything in existence revolved around one fixed point, a single source of strength and purpose. When God is at the center of our lives, He becomes that fixed point—the foundation around which everything else finds its balance and meaning. He’s not just a part of our lives; He is the heart of it all. He directs our steps, shapes our priorities, and brings peace to the chaos. Living with God at the center means aligning our lives around His wisdom, love, and guidance. It means letting Him be the steady axis that keeps everything else in its proper place. There’s a phrase we often hear in the church: “We live in a fallen world.” It’s a reminder that we live among broken systems, human pride, and people doing what’s right in their own eyes. I recently heard someone say the universe was designed to revolve around one center—that’s what gives it order. The problem is, ever since sin entered the world, everyone wants to be the center of their own universe. We

I Choose Today to Bring My Weakness to God

I love what Hebrews 5:7 reveals about Jesus. It says that “He offered up prayers and appeals with loud cries and tears…” Jesus didn’t pretend to be okay when He wasn’t. He didn’t shove down His sorrow or power through it. He took it to His Father. This verse reminds us that Jesus felt the highs and lows of life just like we do—and He knew exactly where to bring them. When the weight of the world pressed on Him, He turned to the only One who could carry it. One thing I often tell people when they’re struggling—when they feel angry at God, disappointed with how life is going, or overwhelmed by emotions—is this: “Take it to Him.” He already knows how you’re feeling. You’re not hiding anything by holding it in. But when you bring it to Him, even the hard or messy parts, He can handle it—and He can begin to heal it. That truth hit a little differently for me recently while doing something as ordinary as physical therapy. For years, I’ve had knee issues, and over time, my quadricep grew weaker and began to atrophy. I finally reached a point where I knew I needed

I Choose Today to Keep His Name Holy

How many times have we read or recited the Lord’s Prayer without really paying attention to the first line? I know I’ve skimmed past it plenty of times—eager to get to what feels like the “meat” of the message: asking for my daily needs, seeking forgiveness, and asking for protection throughout my day. But that first line? That’s where it all begins. Jesus teaches us to pray like this: “Our Father in heaven, may Your name be kept holy.” (Matthew 6:9) So, what does it actually mean to keep His name holy? And because this is a prayer we’re meant to return to daily, maybe the better question is: How do I keep God’s name holy today? Tomorrow? And every day after that? How do I live in a way that reflects His holiness to those around me? If I’m honest, it feels like an impossible task. On our own, we couldn’t keep His name holy. But we’re not on our own. Because of Jesus—because we’ve been adopted as God’s children—we’ve been made holy in Him (Hebrews 10:10). And as we walk in step with the Spirit, He empowers us to live in a way that reflects that holiness to

I Choose Today to Believe I am God’s Beloved Child

You know the Bible tells us how much God loves His Son. He created all things through Him, for Him. He delights in Him so much that He didn’t move heaven and earth for him, He made heaven and earth for Him! That is a lot of love! And since He SO loves us, He sent His Son, Jesus, to die so we can be coheirs with Christ as God’s children. When God sees you, when God sees me, He see us through the lens of Christ, whom He made heaven and earth for, whom He delights. So does that mean He loves and delights in us the same as He loves and delights in Christ? Yes! But here is the thing, do we honestly believe God loves us that much? Delights in us that much? Because it seems too good to be true, right? I mean, I’m sure God loves us, but not that much, right? Metaphorically, it’s like God looks at us through glass—and that glass is Jesus. What He sees is not our mess or our mistakes, but the righteousness of His Son. Scripture tells us we are hidden in Christ (Colossians 3:3), clothed in Him (Galatians

I Choose Today to Believe Healing Runs Deeper

I was reading Acts 3 this morning—the story where Peter and John encounter the man crippled from birth, sitting at the temple gate called Beautiful. He was asking for money. That’s all he knew to ask for. He had likely given up hope for anything beyond daily provision, let alone complete healing. He was surviving, not thriving. His condition defined him. And then… everything changed. Peter looked straight at him and said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” And he did. But here’s the part that really struck me: the physical healing wasn’t the end of the story—it was just the beginning. It wasn’t about muscles suddenly working or legs straightening—it was about an invitation into a whole new life. A soul restored. A testimony birthed. So often we stop at the surface. We look for God to fix what’s broken in our lives—to meet the need in front of us—and we miss that He’s offering something much deeper: eternal healing, restoration, and relationship. This man had only ever known life from a crippled position. Just like sin cripples us from birth,
