I Choose Today my identity
Who am I? Who am I that God should or would use me to make a difference? This is the same question Moses asked when he was talking to God, “… “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?” God answered, “I will be with you…”“ Exodus 3:11-12a You see, God made it a habit of using people who didn’t have any status or qualifications to do something great for His kingdom: Moses: a son of a slave and a murderer Gideon: the least of his people David: a lowly shepherd boy Abraham: the son of an idol maker Rehab: a prostitute Ester: an orphan Peter: fisherman Mary: a teenage girl I could list more examples, but the point is we don’t need to be qualified or have status for God to use us. We just need to know who He is and who we are to Him. Then simply obey. “We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God.” 2 Cor 3:4-5.
