I Choose Today...

I Choose Today to Know God who Does Not Change

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there!

———————————————————————

Have you ever had this thought, “God must not love me anymore because I messed up?” Or “God changed His mind about me because I am not living up to His standards; a disappointment.”

Well, I have good news for you today, God hasn’t changed His mind about you, because God does not change! His love for you does not change! His compassion for you does not change! When life’s circumstances get way out of control and overcome by turmoil, God does not change!

Here is the good news from the Bible (which is Jesus (John 1:1)), “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” And again in Malachi 3:6, God reminds us “I the Lord do not change.” And to foot-stomp my point, James 1:17 reminds us that “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

These verses affirm that God’s character, nature, and promises remain constant and unchanging throughout time.

We live in a time where things change at a very rapid pace. Technology changes so quickly. Just look at how often the phone manufactures come up with new phones with the latest a greatest tech. Medicine and health industries are constantly changing treatment and food, diet, and exercise recommendations. Parenting strategies, work-life balance methods, our circumstances, even ways to study the Bible and right and wrong in our walks!

This is enough to drive anyone into being overwhelmed and feeling they can’t or must keep up! It is exhausting! (Preaching to the choir here, lol).

But the good news, the amazing news, God never changes. His love is the same for us always. He wants us to pause and remember who you are to Him. No comparison, no judgement, no pressure. Just peace. Just joy. Just love. How refreshing is that?

Join me, in embracing the unchanging love and faithfulness of God in our lives. Let’s hold fast to His promises knowing that His character remains constant even in the midst of life’s uncertainties. Take a moment today to reflect on how God’s steadfastness can bring peace and assurance to your heart. Share this message with someone who needs to be reminded of God’s unwavering presence and love.
