I Choose Today...

I Choose Today to Bask in God’s Presence/Holiness

One of my favorite places, where I find peace, tranquility, and joy is when I am at the ocean.

The beauty is overwhelming; the power of the waves is impactful; the sounds of the waves crashing and birds singing is calming; the smell of the salt air and sea life revives my soul; and the tingling touch of the breeze as it sweeps across my face is invigorating.

I close my eyes and just bask in my time there, just enjoying the moment.

That is exactly what David was describing being in the presence of his Lord, Yahweh, when he said,

”One thing I have asked of the Lord, and that I will seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty [the delightful loveliness and majestic grandeur] of the Lord and to meditate in His temple.“Psalms‬ ‭27‬:‭4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

He wanted nothing more than just be in God’s presence. Not for anything from God, but to just be with God; experiencing His holiness, majesty, love. Feeling the essence as it tingles across his skin, penetrating into his very soul. Can’t you feel it?

Have you ever worshipped God like David did? Have you ever wanted to? I promise you it will transcend you in a way that will penetrate your soul like it has done mine.

“Precious Heavenly Father, You alone are holy, pure, perfect, and You transcend beyond our limited understanding because You are limitless!”

Immerse yourself in the serenity of divine worship. Join me in the pursuit of God’s presence, where the beauty of His majesty and the calming touch of His love await. Experience the transcendence that comes from dwelling in the house of the Lord. Are you ready to bask in the overwhelming joy of His company?

  1. That is exactly what the Lord has been impressing on my heart – to be totally aware of His Presence. As I am aware, it changes me. You did a great job taking us with you to experience Him.

  2. It does change us, doesn’t it?! I love when the Lord is pressing something on our hearts, and then you read or hear something that reinforces that message. It tells me that He sees me; that I matter to Him so much that He would lead me to just the right thing, at just the right time. This morning He was telling you that you matter, that He wants to spend time with YOU! God is amazing!
