I Choose Today to See God Revive What’s Been Lost

Have you ever experienced the death of a dream, a relationship, a job, a family, your innocence? In our own efforts, we are powerless to resurrect these things. But, I have news; I know someone who does have the power to resurrect what is dead: Jesus! There is an historical account of Lazarus who was a good friend of Jesus’. He fell sick and died pretty quickly. He had two sisters who had sent for Jesus before his death in hopes that Jesus would heal him. Jesus did not come right away and Lazarus died. Four days after his death, Jesus shows up. He is too late to heal is friend, but with Jesus, He is never too late to do the impossible; to resurrect what was once dead. In John, we see Jesus response to Martha, Lazarus’ sister saying, “Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”” John‬ ‭11‬:‭25‬-‭26‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “Do you believe this, Martha?”  Such a simple question, right? Martha didn’t question who Jesus was and how anyone

I Choose Today to Breathe His Praise

Recently, during a worship service at church, we sang a song that truly spoke to my heart: “Great Are You Lord” by All Sons and Daughters. (I’ve added the link at the end so you can listen if you’d like.) The chorus resonates deeply:  “It’s Your breath in our lungs, so we pour out our praise, pour out our praise… to You only.”   This beautiful truth led me to reflect on the very moment God gave us breath—the moment He brought life into existence. “Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”  —Genesis 2:7 (NLT)   This verse reveals three profound truths about our Creator: 1. We Are Created With Intentionality and Purpose God didn’t just make Adam—He formed him. Every detail was intentional, deliberate, and purposeful. Psalm 139:13 reminds us, “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Have you ever watched someone knit? Each stitch is part of a larger plan, crafted with care. That’s how God made you—yes, you! He chose every detail about

I Choose Today to Know and Reflect Love

One morning, I woke up with a verse playing on repeat in my mind: “So the Word [Jesus] became human and made His home among us…” As I reflected on this verse, I found myself asking, “Why?” Why would Jesus, the King of Kings, leave His throne in heaven—a place of perfect honor and glory—to live among us as a mere human? The answer was in the very next part of the passage: “…God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God. But the unique One [Jesus], who is Himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.” – John 1:17b-18 Jesus came to reveal God to us. And since God is love, Jesus came to show us His true nature: unfailing love, kindness, gentleness, goodness, and delight. He didn’t come to enforce legalism or bring condemnation, but to save us and to help us know God’s perfect love. Jesus offers us a relationship with the Creator of the universe—an abundant, joy-filled life now and for eternity. Who wouldn’t want that life? Who wouldn’t long for the guarantee of eternal relationship with God? Why would anyone trade that for

I Choose Today to be Thankful

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation.” – Psalm 100:4-5 (NLT) Happy Thanksgiving! May your day be filled with peace, love, and the joy of His presence.

I Choose Today to be Fully Accepted

God doesn’t want us to hold anything back from Him—not our imperfections, mistakes, weaknesses, uncertainties, fears, anxieties, or doubts. He cares deeply about all those things because He cares so deeply about you. In fact, He knows the exact number of hairs on your head! “And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” Luke 12:7 NLT I used to struggle with this idea of being fully accepted by God. After experiencing the heartbreaking loss of my son to SIDS, I wrestled with overwhelming feelings of inadequacy, doubt, and guilt. I wondered if God could truly love and accept someone like me, with all the pain and brokenness I carried. It felt impossible to give Him my whole heart, soul, mind, and strength when so much of me was wrapped in grief and uncertainty. But it was in that season of brokenness that I discovered just how deeply God accepts us—flaws, fears, and all. I remember sitting in prayer one day, feeling like I had nothing to offer but tears. And yet, in that moment, I felt His presence so clearly. He didn’t
