I Choose Today to See with Spiritual Understanding

As we continue our exploration of Isaiah 11:2 and the seven attributes of the Holy Spirit, today I want to chat about something really special: spiritual understanding. This isn’t just about book smarts; it’s about seeing the world through God’s eyes, grasping those deeper truths that can guide us every day. Isaiah 11:2 describes the Messiah, stating, “The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and strength, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.” This highlights the profound depth of insight that comes from the Holy Spirit. Take Jesus, for example. He had this incredible knack for truly understanding people, gently helping them uncover the real motivations behind their actions. Remember Nicodemus? He was a Pharisee who came to Jesus at night, curious and seeking answers. Even though he was well-versed in the Scriptures and the law, he felt something was missing. Jesus, with His divine insight, met Nicodemus right where he was. He explained profound spiritual truths in a way that resonated deeply with him (John 3:1-21).
